Upon the passing of her mother, Diane assumed the role of David’s guardian and champion.  A former member of the board for The ARC of Oklahoma, she serves on the board for Lake Drive Home where her brother lives and she volunteers on its Human Rights Committee.

Diane has a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree while swimming on the Cowgirl swim team.

A retired teacher, she is a freelance writer whose work often appears in the beloved Chicken Soup for the Soul Series.  She also writes the blog Grand Life for TulsaKids parenting magazine. An avid reader as well as a triathlete and open water swimmer, she makes her home in Tulsa with her husband, Steve.
